Without Katy, we wouldn’t have such amazing memories!

“She was so creative and easy to work with by the end of the night she was a part of our family. She made us all feel so comfortable and at ease with the whole process. If you want any event or moment captured Katy is your girl.”

Idaho was made for quiet pauses, expansive views, and moments that linger.

Wedding days aren’t always built that way.

This wild beauty invites you to breathe deeper, stay longer, and commit to feeling everything on your wedding day.

Hi! I’m Katy.

And I’m Rooted in Idaho. Born and raised here, I worked in Stanley as a teenager. I grew up skiing in Sun Valley every winter with my family. I spent summers camping and hiking through the Sawtooths. Idaho’s wild beauty wasn’t just a backdrop — it was my backyard.

That history shapes how I photograph weddings here. I understand the rhythm of this place. I guide the day so you can experience it.

I watch how light moves through a space. I build breathing room into timelines. I anticipate moments before they unfold, so you don’t worry about missing anything.

Most of the time, you won’t feel photographed. You’ll feel grounded, connected, and fully present with the people you love.

And when the moment calls for it, I use my experience to turn what’s unfolding into images that feel cinematic, romantic, and quietly magical.

You’ll be at home here if…

  • You’re dreaming of a wedding day set in wild, meaningful places.
Mountain air. Open space. Historic walls with stories built into them. A day shaped by where you are, not forced into a generic timeline.

  • You want a photographer who has the time and space to be fully present.
I photograph just 6 weddings a year, which means I’m not juggling back-to-back weekends or rushing through your day. You have my full attention before, during, and after.

  • You want to feel calm, supported, and completely taken care of.
That’s why I don’t just show up on your wedding day. I guide you through it. After eight years of photographing weddings in Idaho, I know how to build breathing room into timelines, anticipate moments before they unfold, and notice when the energy shifts. You get to live the day fully while I quietly take care of everything else.

Not choosing Katy would be the biggest fumble of all.

“Katy blends professionalism, creativity, and genuine care in a way that makes you feel completely at ease. She captured epic shots we’ll treasure forever and even stepped up when we needed photos sooner than expected. For anyone on the fence, take it from someone who is extremely selective: Katy is the real deal.”

You shouldn’t have to choose between living your wedding day and loving your photos.

Most photographers can document a wedding day.
They show up, follow the timeline, and capture some of what happens.

Some can create striking images, but only by constantly stepping in, directing moments, and pulling couples out of the experience.

That leaves most couples stuck between two options:

1. Photos that record the day, but not the laughter, stillness, or the way it felt to be there.

OR

2. Artful imagery that asks couples to pause, perform, and repeat moments, again and again and again.

My wedding photography packages are different because:

You’re never asked to perform for the camera

Most couples worry they’ll feel rushed or awkward in front of the camera. You’ll get calm, intuitive coverage that captures real connection while you stay present, comfortable, and fully in the day.

You work with someone who deeply knows Idaho

I’ve lived here for 30 years and spent 8 years photographing weddings across the state. I understand the seasons, weather, and terrain, and plan days that stay calm when Idaho does its thing.

You’re free to relax and live the day.

I help plan timelines, coordinate details, and think through logistics ahead of time. By taking only six weddings a year, I can give you focused attention and steady support throughout the process.

Here’s what’s always included

In all of my wedding photography packages

Experience-Led Planning & Timeline Design

I guide you through planning decisions and design an intentional timeline that supports presence, flow, and possibility. Together, we create a day that feels thoughtful, unrushed, and fully aligned with what matters most.

Thoughtful Vendor Recommendations

Not sure who to hire or where to start? I can recommend planners, florists, hair and makeup artists, and venues. I’ll help you find people I trust, so your vendor team feels supportive, aligned, and easy to be around.

Ongoing Support Before, During, and After Your Wedding

Support doesn’t end once you book. I’m available to talk through ideas, questions, and decisions as they come up, so you never feel like you’re navigating this alone.

Grounded, Attentive Presence on the Wedding Day

I arrive grounded and fully present, prepared to hold space as the day unfolds. With calm leadership and emotional awareness, I help create an environment where you can relax and be yourselves.

Artistic, Hand-crafted Edits

Every image is personally selected and edited by hand. No AI editing here. I choose what lives in color and what belongs in black and white, based on feeling and story.

All Your Memories, Preserved Forever

Every meaningful moment is included in your final gallery, delivered in high resolution and yours to keep. You’re free to print, share, and preserve your memories however you choose.

Heirloom Wedding Album

Your photos weren’t meant to live on a screen. Every collection includes a museum-grade wedding album. Thoughtfully designed to tell your story from beginning to end. It’s an heirloom that's meant to be held, shared, and passed down for generations.

In-Home Gallery Reveal Experience

Your first look at your memories should happen together, in person. Instead of a link in your inbox, you come over for a gallery reveal. We snack, sip, watch your wedding story unfold to music, and design your album together, starting with printed favorites from the day.

How does this all work, exactly?

Let me show you the way.

Step 01

We begin with a real conversation about how you want your wedding to feel. The experiences you’re craving. The places that call to you. The moments you don’t want to miss. You don’t need a fully formed plan — just a sense of what matters.

We start with what matters.

Step 02

With eight years of photographing weddings in Idaho, I know how to shape a day that feels relaxed and grounded. I pay attention to light, timing, and flow so you don’t have to. This gives you space to stay connected and enjoy the experience as it unfolds.

We design an experience that feels like you.

On your wedding day, you get to be fully there. Laughing, hugging, breathing it all in. Because I photograph a limited number of weddings each year, my attention is completely on you, noticing the quiet moments, the in-between magic, and the story unfolding as it happens.

You LIVE the big day.

Step 03

CONTACT ME TO GET STARTED

Take the first step & let’s craft a day you can truly experience

Whether you’re planning a mountain celebration, a quiet gathering with your favorite people, or something still taking shape, this is where it begins.

Tell me what you’re excited about, what matters most, and what you want your day to feel like.

I’ll take it from there.
